Who We Are:Learn More / Get Involved!

What is our purpose?

The Overland Parent Teacher Community Organization (OPTCO) is the Parent, Teacher, and Community Support group organized to help promote better communication between the parents, students, faculty, and administration.

Stay Informed and Involved. We offer families an opportunity to learn what is happening at school, share ideas and make a difference in their children's experience throughout their four years at Overland. Our Mission is to assist in attaining the highest level of education and welfare for the entire student body of OHS through cooperative efforts of the Faculty, Staff, Parents and the Cherry Creek School District community throughout the year, supporting teachers, staff and fundraising activities. Make a difference. There is no membership. We would love your enthusiasm, support, and ideas for our students!

Funds Raised Support Teachers and School Grants and to enrich our student community!

Classroom Grants

How we give back:
Our major fundraising projects are our semi-annual craft fairs that take place in the fall and spring of each year.  The fundraising dollars that we make go back into the classrooms/school in the form of grants that are meant to support all students attending OVERLAND HS.

Community Involvement

We support a safe, and encouraging environment of community involvement and participation for the enrichment of the student and campus experience.

Teacher Appreciation Week

We annually sponsor a lunch &/or breakfast each year during Teacher Appreciation Week.  We also volunteer to provide meals (such as potlucks) for the teachers and staff during non-virtual parent/teacher conference nights.
